About Aaron

I know what it feels like to be lost.

I’m Aaron Parker, founder of The Conscious Self.

There was a time when I was depressed, anxious and struggling with addiction. I had no sense of purpose or meaning. I found it difficult to trust, lived with paranoia and couldn’t see a way forward.

I was lost in the darkness.

That experience is part of why I do this work. I know how difficult it can be to want life to change and still feel unable to change it.

My Story

Learning to take responsibility for my life.

Things began to change when I found Muay Thai. But the deeper change came when I took accountability for my life and started acting on what I was learning.

Yoga, breathwork, meditation and nature became tools for awareness. They helped me see my habits, my reactions and the things I needed to face.

Philosophy and spiritual teachings gave me ways to understand what I was seeing and consider how to act differently. I began putting those insights into practice through my choices, my behaviour and how I treated myself and others.

Over time, that combination of lived experience, study and practice became the foundation of my own philosophy and the work I now share through The Conscious Self.

The aim is lasting change. Change that becomes part of how you live.

What I Bring

Lived experience.
Years of practice.

I bring more than fifteen years in Muay Thai, including eight teaching, alongside yoga training in India, six years practising breathwork and four teaching pranayama.

My work also draws on ten years of philosophical, theological and spiritual study, six years coaching inner work, and more than seven helping people build a relationship with nature. I’ve twice taught breathwork to Robson Green on BBC’s Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes.

But when someone sits in front of me, their experience is their own. I listen. My past helps me meet people with understanding, without assuming I already know their story.

Working Together

Awareness gives us
somewhere to begin.

Through coaching, courses and experiences, I help people explore their patterns, question what holds them back and practise responding differently.

Movement, breath, meditation and nature give us practical ways to build awareness. Honest conversation, philosophical insight and spiritual wisdom help us explore what that awareness means for how we live.

There is room for difficult things here. There is also room for humour, enjoyment, connection and belonging.

You don’t need to arrive with everything worked out.

If you want individual support, we can begin with a conversation.

If you’d prefer a shared experience, you can join me on a course or event.
